All Natural Ingredients
We only use the finest all natural ingredients in our dishes. This means our ingredients are grown, harvested, raised and processed in an ecological manner, not extracted or processed using anything other than natural ingredients as solvents. None of our ingredients are genetically engineered and none contain GMOs (genetically modified organisms).
Although the FDA has not engaged in rulemaking to establish a formal definition for the term “natural,” we do have a longstanding policy concerning the use of “natural” in human food labeling. The FDA has considered the term “natural” to mean that nothing artificial or synthetic (including all color additives regardless of source).
There’s no denying that this is the worst time of year for eating fresh. Not only is there almost zero fresh, seasonal produce to be found, but the majority of people are trying to eat healthy — at least until the end of the month. It’s that post-holiday slump that leaves those of us who really love food feeling lost.
If your healthy recipe repertoire has lost its luster, you have stumbled to the right place.
Technology And Good Nutrition
Just as society has evolved over time, our food system has also evolved over centuries into a global system of immense size and complexity. The commitment of food science and technology professionals to advancing the science of food, ensuring a safe and abundant food supply, and contributing to healthier people everywhere is integral to that evolution.
Contemporary food science and technology contributed greatly to the success of this modern food system by integrating biology, chemistry, physics, engineering, materials science, microbiology, nutrition, toxicology, biotechnology, genomics, computer science, and many other disciplines to solve difficult problems, such as resolving nutritional deficiencies and enhancing food safety.
We at Cafe By Stephen Weakley follow these practices by maintaining the highest standards when purchasing, processing, and storing food.
Our food quality is improved and our food safety is enhanced by following the high standards we impose on ourselves. Sensitive nutrients are preserved, important vitamins and minerals are maintained by proper storing and temperature management of food; toxins and antinutrients (substances such as phytate that limit bioavailability of nutrients) are limited. This means our meals are designed to optimize health and reduce the risk of disease.
